I used this clinic to perform in home euthanasia for my fifteen year old husky. I scheduled my appointment 10 days in advance, but they can schedule as soon as 24 hours.   This was the hardest thing I have ever done. Sac Valley made it as easy as it could be. I had a schedule slot, and Dr. Lennon showed up on time.   I cannot praise Dr. Lennon more for her services. She was kind, gentle, calming, and good at doing the actual procedure. I had much of my family here to say goodbye to our husky. They all praised Dr. Lennon for being professional yet personal. She shed some tears for our boy, showing great empathy. A trait that make her excel in an overwhelmingly difficult role.   Thank you Sacramento Valley Veterinary Serviceserinary Clinic for providing these services at the reasonable prices. An extra special thank you to Dr. Lennon. Making the decision for euthanasia for your pet is so difficult, but ultimately we knew we wanted to have an in-home euthanasia for our dog so that he could pass in the comfort of his own home.   We found Sacramento Valley Veterinarian Services through Yelp. Their website provided all of the information we needed. Contacting them and scheduling the appointment was very straightforward and easy.   We were a bit nervous as our dog was not exactly the friendliest dog to strangers. When the day came, Dr. Summers called us when she was on her way and she provided thorough instructions on how the whole process would work. The entire process was smooth and quick. I don't believe our dog even knew that Dr. Summers was here.   We never felt rushed by Dr. Summers and her presence was incredibly calming and was exactly what we needed. Sacramento Valley Veterinary is outstanding, I have used their services 3 times, Dr. Summers was the vet all 3 times she was professional and compassionate she seems to read the situation very well, talking to you when you need a distraction, quietly waiting when you need a minute, she was gentle and loving to my dogs during the process and treated them with respect. Jesse was my 13-year-old yellow lab and beloved companion. His time had come, he had numerous internal and external tumors, was on heart murmur medication, and had various signs of rapid decline. I prepared his final resting place in a pleasant wooded area of his yard.   Dr. Summers came to my home, spent time explaining everything to me, and spent time with Jesse. She was so kind, compassionate, and gentle. Dr. Summers administered the medication while she soothingly fed him scraps of cooked hamburger meat I gave her.  Jesse went to sleep happily, in peaceful surroundings which put helped to put my mind at ease. I was devastated to make the decision to euthanize my sweet, beloved Havanese dog, Lily.  She had been my inseparable devoted companion for  15 1/2 years.  Finally Congestive Heart Failure became too severe and I made an in-home appointment for euthanasia.  Dr. Laura Summers came to my house very promptly, right on time.  From start to finish Dr. Summers was extremely professional, kind, patient, communicative and very compassionate.  She explained all processes and took adequate time.  She made an immensely difficult situation bearable and seamless.  I absolutely recommend her and the entire business itself. Compassion and care when we needed it the most.  When it became evident that our 20-year old cat needed end of life services, we decided on in-home euthanasia to keep her as comfortable as possible as she transitioned.  Dr. Summers was gentle, kind, and educational about the whole process.  She allowed us private time with our fur baby once our kitty passed on. Sacramento Valley Veterinary Service is amazing. I called and left a message and received a response within 30 minutes. Dr. Summers was very informative and sympathetic. She was able to come out within 48 hours of my call, and she was amazing with our Maggie in her last moments on this earth. Having our pet in her surroundings was definitely comforting for her as well as for us. I would highly recommend using their services if you are ever put in this painful position. I made the heartbreaking decision to have my little heart cat Emma put to sleep this past weekend. She lived a long life at 23 years and it was the right choice. However, I was nervous to find the right service to help our family say goodbye.   I reached out to SVVS via Yelp and received a response very quickly via the app and text. Which was a blessing as I was a blubbering mess and unable and unwilling to talk over the phone to figure out logistics. I was able to answer a few quick questions via text and then they helped by sending me the appropriate links to fill out details before they arrived, as well as pay for services. It was a relief to not have to worry about those things the rest of the day, and I could mourn without distraction.  Dr. Caroline texted me prior to her arrival to coordinate time and how she would enter our home. It was extremely helpful knowing when she would arrive as it helped me feel a bit more in control of the day and the importance of our goodbye. When she arrived she was such a calm presence, someone who clearly had empathy for what we were experiencing.  She explained exactly what she would be doing and why, and never rushed us. She gave the space and time for me to say when I was ready and she gently helped guide Emma and her family on this final journey.  We decided to have Emma enjoy her last good day doing what she loved best-sunbathing and cuddling with me in the backyard.   It was peaceful.   I couldn't have asked for a more fitting goodbye for my furry soul mate. Dr. Caroline came to my home and helped bring peace to my beloved cat Ozzy when our own vet couldn't get us in. I wasn't sure what to expect and Dr. Caroline explained everything with such great care and empathy. The whole experience was the absolute most humane way to go.
